The Arkansas Department of Energy & Environment uses advanced air quality models for State Implementation Plan development and as a component of a variety of other air quality projects. The Department is seeking a photochemical modeler whose work would inform these tasks. The candidate should possess knowledge and skills related to the Comprehensive Air Quality Model with Extensions (CAMx) and/or the Community Multiscale Air Quality (CMAQ) photochemical models, as well as the associated pre- and post-processing and visualization tools, have significant experience in computer programming to include Python and Linux coding, and have the technical knowledge to maintain and troubleshoot Linus-based workstations for air quality modeling use.
