Research Associate in Atmospheric Modelling
Department : Analytics, Environmental & Forensics
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team of air quality modellers at King’s and to contribute to a range of funded projects on air pollution, climate change and health research (MRC/NERC/NIHR), as well as air quality policy (GLA/DEFRA). You will work with a chemical transport model (CTM) coupled with local scale modelling in cities, and across a large range of geographical areas, including Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
We are looking for a skilled atmospheric scientist who has experience with CTM’s, can deal with large datasets and is comfortable writing code. Good analytical skills, and knowledge of artificial intelligent (AI)/machine learning or data assimilation would be an advantage. Although not compulsory, there may be opportunities for occasional, ad-hoc teaching on our MSc.
