Hi CMAS Users,
I have some questions regarding the processing of EDGARv6.1 and HTAPv3 emission data.
To my understanding, EDGARv6.1 provides annual total emission flux for the entire globe with a resolution of (1800, 3600), while HTAPv3 provides monthly emission flux for the entire globe with a resolution of (12, 1800, 3600).
Using HTAPv3, I successfully split the monthly files and generated CMAQ-ready emission files through SMOKE modeling.
However, since the EDGARv6.1 file represents annual totals, I would appreciate it if you could guide me on how to process this data appropriately for similar use.
Also, please let me know if EDGARv6.1, like HTAP, needs to handle speciation for PM2.5 by subtracting BC and OC to create PM2.5_OTH.
Additionally, I noticed that in the HTAP gspro file provided by the EPA FTP server, NOX is split into NO and NO2, and the molecular weight for both substances is set to 46. Could you kindly explain the rationale behind this setting?
Thank you for your assistance.
Sincerely,
Heo min.
