*** ERROR ABORT in subroutine SMKINVEN:CHECKMEM
Failure allocating memory for "CEXTORL": STATUS= 41

What’s wrong with it ? I didn’t know why? thank you !

The real problem is in a memory-allocation failure (most frequently caused by either the memory on your machine or the limits on your login-session. Try doing
limit memoryuse unlimited
before running the program. If that doesn’t work, we need to dig into diagnosing that STATUS=41. For that, we’ll need to know what (version of what) compiler you’re using, since error-status numbers vary from compiler to compiler (and if you’re using gfortran, lots of luck finding that list!).

Thank you, Professors. I use gfortran in my linux pc and use the install shell directed install the smoke v4.6 and didn’t recompile it. the limit memoryuse unlimited didn’t work in my computer.

I would suggest you to split those EDGAR inventories by sectors. So, process one sector at a time (i.e., Energy, Transportation,). You will have a memory issue if you try to process all sectors in a single run. Split them by sector. That will deviate the memory requirement.

Thank you! Professors. I will have a try.
