GRA opportunity in atmospheric microplastics: Civil and Environmental Engineering at Virginia Tech

A Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) position is available in Foroutan’s lab in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Virginia Tech. This GRA position is for a PhD student interested in investigating atmospheric micro- and nanoplastics using regional-to-global scale models, and is available as early as summer/fall 2023. Desired qualifications include strong programming skills including FORTRAN, bash scripting, and parallel computing, background in atmospheric/air quality modeling and familiarity with the WRF/SMOKE/CMAQ system, and strong communication skills.
