I was wondering if there is a cap on how many different files we can receive input from (simultaneously at runtime) using the ‘COMBINE’ post-processing tool of CMAQ?
Starting with the release of CMAQv5.3, the maximum number of input files for combine is set to one less than the I/O API global parameter MXFILE3 (see the CMAQv5.3 release notes here). When CMAQv5.3 was released, this parameter was set to 64 in the publicly released version of I/O API. In the current publicly released version of I/O API, the parameter is set to 256.
