I used the STAGE bidirectional model for Hg simulation. However, the output of dry deposition (from DRYDEP file) is the net value(deposition + evasion). In the user guide it says “positive value means deposition and negative value means evasion”. Is there a way to distinguish or calculate how much is dry deposition and how much is evasion?
With the STAGE option, the dry deposition is the product of the deposition velocity for Hg in the DEPV file and the ambient concentration in the CONC or ACONC file. The evasion is the deposition - net value. In CMAQ v5.4 the net flux, deposition and evasion for all bidi species have been are now in the DRYDEP file.
