Error in subroutine RDINVDATA

Hello everyone
I’m having some trouble running SMOKE but I can’t find the right cause of it.

The error is in SMKINVEN
and while all my inventory files were successfully opened, I got an error reading data from my inventory file.

*** ERROR ABORT in subroutine RDINVDATA
Error reading data from inventory file PTINV

the same error happened as well while I was running SMOKE for area sources

*** ERROR ABORT in subroutine RDINVDATA
Error reading data from inventory file ARINV

Can you provide some more information regarding what inventory you are trying to read for what domain?

If you can attach a log file that is helpful.

I’m trying to run point and area inventory for domain 9kmX9km and the same error occurs for both inventories

The log files for smkinven point/area inventories are attached below.
Thank you

smkinven.area.saprc99_org_d02_2017-03.txt (52.7 KB)
smkinven.point.saprc99_org_d02_2017-03.txt (54.3 KB)

Were you able to get past the following errors?
*** ERROR ABORT in subroutine RDINVDATA

@YoonB What is the format of your inventory files? Have you used one of formats supported? I would strongly suggest for you to use the FF10 formats for point and area inventories:
https://www.cmascenter.org/smoke/documentation/4.8.1/html/ch08s02s08.html#sect_input_ptinv_ff10
https://www.cmascenter.org/smoke/documentation/4.8.1/html/ch08s02s04.html#d0e38214

Please make sure that you list the header for each inventory file you are creating.

I’m not 100% sure what the cause was but I got past the error.

I use an old version of SMOKE while the software I used to edit my inventory file was relatively new. (I use acroedit)
So I edited my inventory file with an older version of acroedit and I got past the error.
