Hello, I’d like to ask what the differences are between the two solvers, ROS and EBI. Currently, I’m using EBI. There is a mechanism regarding the photolysis of particulate nitrate, which involves the calculation of the photolysis rate of gaseous nitric acid. There are relevant arrays in phot.f and PHOT_MOD.F. However, it always shows that the compilation cannot be successfully completed. After consulting a teacher who has worked in this relevant field before, the teacher replied that it’s a problem with the solver. I’d like to ask how I should deal with this. At present, it’s not possible to replace EBI.

Hello. Thank you very much for your reply. I have carefully read the website address you provided, and I would like to ask if it is this sentence.<The approach may not work because data hardcoded within the photochemistry solver is not correct, if using an Euler Backward Interative (EBI) solver, or because data used to calculate photolysis rates is not complete.> I’ve also looked at some of the changes in the photolysis part brought about by the model update, but I still don’t know how to make the modifications.
