Lacking SOAALK in mobile emission

Hello,

I want to run the model with CB6 mechanism using another mobile emissions. This emission inventory does not have the tracer species (SOAALK). I want to ask that does this species have large impact on the PM simulation results?

BTW, in SMOKE, the equation “SOAALK=0.108*PAR” is used to generate SOAALK emission for sector onroad_mex. Can I use this for other mobile emission?

Hi,

The SOAALK species has a small, but non-negligible contribution to mobile SOA. If your application is research-based or exploratory, then I think the 0.108*PAR assumption will be ok.
