Question in DDM

Hello, teachers. I would like to use the CMAQ-DDM module to conduct a sensitivity analysis of O3-NOx-VOC. I have a few questions that I would like to ask:
First. In the sensinput.dat, does the SPECIES for VOCs need to include all the VOC compounds involved in the emission sources?
Secend. For certain compounds in the emission sources, such as ISOP, if ISOP is added to the SPECIES in sensinput.dat, an error will occur:

*** ERROR ABORT in subroutine SEN_NUM on PE 014 Sensitivity parameter ISOP not found in species name array
PM3EXIT: date&time specified as 0
Date&time specified as 0

If I do not activate the DDM module, CCTM will be able to read the data smoothly.

So, for compounds like ISOP that DDM cannot read, should they be deleted from the sensinput.dat file? Is there any additional requirement for reading the compound names in DDM? How should it be mapped then?

Your post did not mention which chemical mechanism you are using for this application, but based on the list of VOC species it looks like a saprc07 mechanism. The species name for isoprene in saprc07 is called “ISOPRENE” not “ISOP” which may be the cause of the error message you are seeing.

Thanks for you reply!

The chemical mechanism I use is SAPRC07.

I did indeed confuse the variable names in the emission sources with the species names required in the model.

Now I can run DDM normally.
