Speciation conversion for HTAP_v3 emission

Hi all,

I am using HTAP_v3 emissions as input to CMAQ. Does anyone know how to spilt VOC into the speciates of SAPRC07. Are there any profiles of related-SAPRC07 gsref and gspro files in the SMOKE for HTAP_v3 emission?

Look forward to your reply . Thanks!

Hi, are you looking to simply speciate VOC from HTAP, or would you be running the emissions through SMOKE? If the former, I recommend using the 95861 profile from this GSPRO:

Correction: for some reason, I thought you were only considering wildfires, so please disregard my prior suggestion. Is your HTAP VOC total anthropogenic or sector-specific?

Thank you for your reply!

the HTAP VOC emissions consider sector-specific,include:1)aircraft, 2) ships, 3) energy, 4) industry, 5) transport, 5B) brakewear/tirewear, 6) residential, 7) waste, 8) agriculture. Which specific profiles should selected for these sectors?

@james.beidler Do you have sector-specific profiles you can provide? I can help re-map if they are for a different mechanism to SAPRC07.

The CB05+CB06 HTAP profiles are linked in this solution from 2021. The current profiles are based on 2011 EMP sector-average profiles rather than the HTAP region-specific speciation (Huang et al. 2017).

The cross-reference numbering is described in the header as profile (1) aircraft, (2) ships, (3) energy, (4) industry, (5) transport, (6) residential, and (8) agriculture.

@Sunshine let me know if you need help doing the chemical mechanism mapping.
