Biogenic marine emissions CH2Br2 and CHBr3

Hi all,

I’m trying to incorporate biogenic marine emissions in my CMAQ-ISAM v5.3.2 simulations using the ECCAD dataset (https://eccad.aeris-data.fr/2019/06/05/cams-inventories/). This dataset provides information about the following species: CH2Br2, CH3I, CHBr3 and DMS.

In the cb6r3m_ae7_aq mechanism (CMAQ/cb6r3m_ae7_kmtbr_species_table.md at master · USEPA/CMAQ · GitHub), I was able to find CH3I and DMS species, but not CH2Br2 and CHBr3. So, I was wondering what would happen with these two species that I could not find in the chemical mechanism.

cb6r3m_ae7_kmtbr contains several halogen species including CH2Br2, CHBr3, DMS, CH3I. However, CH2B2 is named as MB2 and CHBr3 is named as MB3. You can incorporate off-line biogenic marine emissions in your simulations. To avoid double counting, you can turn-off the calculation of inline emissions of these species by revising MGEMIS.F. Please let me know if you have any more questions.

Thank you very much for clarifying that. I appreciate a lot.
