CMAQ v5.5 DDM and STAGE compatibility

Greetings,

I’m trying to compile CMAQ5.5 with DDM, while the compilation was successful with the M3DRY, but failed with the STAGE deposition scheme.

It seems like CMAQ DDM is not compatible with the STAGE scheme.

This is correct. The combination of DDM3D and STAGE is not currently supported by CMAQv55 and the bldit compilation script will exit when selecting the STAGE dry deposition option and activating DDM3D. We hope to release code updates supporting this combination in the future.

Thank you very much for your response. I did compile successfully with the combination of DDM3d and STAGE in the CMAQv5.4.0.5. I wonder if there are any other updates between them.

I will double check with a colleague, but in my recollection the combination of STAGE and DDM3D was not fully functional in the CMAQv5.4.0.5 source code, either. While the v5.4 bldit script did not prevent a user from compiling the code with this combination in the same way the updated v55 bldit script does, the resulting executable would not behave as expected.
