Could I use mrggrid to merge emission for NEI2017 instead of smk_sectormerge_emf.csh

I have four quick questions.
1.Could I get daily emission for all sectors by modifying sectorlist_2017gb? replace like week_N, mwdss_Y… with all? Currently, I just link files based on smk_merge_dates_201707.txt so that I can have daily files for all sectors.
2.Could I use Linux2_x86_64ifort6/mrggrid to merge emission for NEI2017 instead of smk_sectormerge_emf.csh? I used EMF run scripts for each sector, and can use mrggrid them, just not sure if it is correct.
3.Could I add new grid description into griddesc_lambertonly…txt using my domain information to run smoke?
4.If run small 4km domain using NEi2017, is it possible to merge ocean_cl2? I checked it only for 12US 36US

Thank you!

Please see my answers to your questions:

  1. Yes, you can generate everyday emissions files for any sector by modifying the mwdss setting in the run script.
  2. Yes,
  3. Yes, you can add any domain you wish as long as you follow the format and providing the set of surrogates that cover your own domain.
  4. As long as the map projection of 4km domain is same as other 12US and 36US, you can use a SMOKE tool called aggwndn to aggregate your 4km up to 12US and/or 36US.

I see. Thanks a lot for your quick reply!

Sorry, one more question.
I am using US12KM domain which is larger than 12US1, how could I merge ocean_cl2? Any other tool could help?

Thank you!

Nope I don’t think I can think of any tool that can do that.

I see. Thank you for your reply.
