Inline wildfire HFLUX units

Hi there,

Having created SMOKE inline netcdf for ptwildfire, I found that the HFLUX units was designated as “moles/s”.
A couple of questions. First, is “BTU/hr” supposed to be the correct units in netcdf?
Second, if the units is different from “moles/s”, is there any SMOKE version whose code has the units corrected?

HI Roger, you are correct. The unit for HFLUX in inline emission file is incorrect. It won’t impact on plume rise calculation in SMOKE and CMAQ but the unit should be corrected.
