The photolysis rates calculated in-line by the CMAQv55 is is relatively high

Two issues:

  1. The COD（Cloud Optical Depth ） value is obviously incorrect and is much larger than that of the Kuahe satellite;

  2. The influence of the sub-grid clouds on photolysis has not taken effect.

Thanks for your post. Can you please clarify what you mean by:

”The influence of the sub-grid clouds on photolysis has not taken effect.”

The cloud optical thickness simulated by CMAQv55 is thicker than that of other models, but the photolysis rate has not decreased as a result. On the contrary, it is the highest.
