Hello everyone,
I got weird results from CMAQ process analysis, such as extremly high XADV/YADV/ZADV, and large negative net values for most of the time.
Is there something wrong with my model? I’m pretty sure that I post process my output right. Here are the results of 1 grid:

If you have not done so already, please review Chapter 9 of the CMAQ User Guide, which discusses Process Analysis and the newer Budget Tool. To simplify things, you may wish to use HADV rather than XADV and YADV.
If you still have a question, please provide enough further information for someone in the community to be able to help. See the “Please Read Before Posting” message for guidelines as to what to include. Additionally, please provide your process analysis control file.
To identify modeling errors and distinguish them from postprocessing errors, it is best to provide plots of model output that have not been postprocessed, or have been processed only minimally. For example, choose a PM2.5 component rather than total PM2.5. Show ozone in ppm or ppb rather than converting to ug/m3.
