CMAQ without SMOKE modelling

Hi
We have got annual and daily gridded emission inventory for a city (4 x 4 km2 and 2 x 2 km2) in India. We wish to use these emissions directly in WRF-CMAQ model. Is it possible to use these emissions without processing through SMOKE model? If yes, then are there any documents or references available in this regard?

Any leads in this regard are appreciated.

You do not need to SMOKE if you have another tool that can generate the gridded and speciated hourly emissions (IOAPI/NetCDF-formatted) input files for CMAQ. There is no any specific documentation for that.
