Does SMOKE support separated smoldering and flaming SCCs for wildfire?

Hello all,

Does SMOKE support separated SCCs for Smoldering and Flaming for wildfires in PTFIRE sector? or I have to sum up both smoldering and flaming emissions as total wildfire for SCC=2810001000?

I am using NEI2011-ek and SMOKEv3.7. I am preparing point source emissions in in-line format for CMAQv5.2.

Hi Ehsan,

If you review EPA’s latest 2014 platform modeling TSD, there are two different sectors for ptfire (flaring and smodeling). Here are the list of SCCs I found:

“2810001001”,“Miscellaneous Area Sources;Other Combustion - as Event;Forest Wildfires;Smoldering”
“2810001002”,“Miscellaneous Area Sources;Other Combustion - as Event;Forest Wildfires;Flaming”

“2811015001”,“Miscellaneous Area Sources;Other Combustion - as Event;Prescribed Forest Burning;Smoldering”
“2811015002”,“Miscellaneous Area Sources;Other Combustion - as Event;Prescribed Forest Burning;Flaming”
