How to adjust background emission for future air quality modeling

Dear all,

I aspire to simulate future air quality over my study area using WRF-CMAQ under different emission scenarios. However, since I am modeling future air quality I have no idea on how to adjust background emissions in this case.

Would you please kindly advise me in this regard?

Please clarify this. At least I don’t understand what you mean about background emissions. Do you mean boundary conditions in future? If so, you may try to use GEOS-Chem output for future scenarios as the boundary fields.
