Ptfire elevpoint ERROR

Hi all,

I am having trouble with elevpoint run in the ptfire sector. I could successfully run onetime, but when i ran ptfire_daily, the following error appeared after ptday reading:

It seems my PTDAY file started from 2010001:050000 while the requested time started at 2010001:000000. I have no idea why this PTDAY file started from 5 since it is an intermediate file. What should i do to fix this? Could you help with this?

Thanks,
Lin

We think you are trying to run a 2010 fire inventory. If so, you probably need to create the “previous December” PTDAY and include that as an input in addition to the regular PTDAY. The previous December PTDAY should contain fires from December of the base year (2010 in this case), but with the #YEAR in the header changed to the previous year (2009). Doing this should fill in the first 5 hours (in GMT terms) of January 1, which are on December 31 in local time terms.

It works! Thanks so much!!
Best,
Lin
