Wrf error while running matching_surface.csh

Can anyone please advice what the following error means . I got it while running matching_surface.csh.

"Error in wrf_surface(file) : object ‘lat’ not found " .

There is a call in this wrf_surface function that read the lat from the wrf output file.

lat <- ncvar_get(f1, varid=“XLAT”,start=c(1,1,1),count=c(-1,-1,1))

This tells me the wrf output file does not have this variable.

Please check this and let me know.

Sir,
The variable XLAT as you mentioned is present in the wrf output file.The header file from the wrf output is attached herewith for your reference. Kindly advise.
